How we deliver it
- Inventory: devices, servers, applications and their versions, with vulnerability data from Defender.
- Windows: Windows Autopatch or Intune update rings, depending on your licences.
- Microsoft 365 Apps and browsers: update channels and deadlines set to your level.
- Third-party applications: patching for the common applications your people run.
- Servers: patch windows agreed with application owners, automated where possible.
- Unsupported software: found, and removed or isolated.
- Reporting: patch compliance against your level's timeframes, every month.

How long it takes
Three to eight weeks, depending on the number of servers and third-party applications. It is a fixed fee, paid by milestone.
Questions buyers ask
Our servers can't be rebooted during the week. Can we still meet the timeframes?
Usually, with agreed windows and some automation. Where a system can't meet them, we document it, add compensating controls and show you the risk.
Do you patch Linux and network devices too?
The Essential Eight focuses on applications and operating systems. We include servers of any operating system in scope and can add network devices through Managed infrastructure.
