Managed infrastructure
The servers, storage and network underneath everything, run properly.
Infrastructure problems build up unnoticed until something breaks: a certificate expires, a patch was skipped, a backup job stopped weeks ago. We monitor, patch and maintain your infrastructure component by component, fix the causes of repeat faults and report on it every month.
Start with a provider transition assessment
Scoped by component
You choose the components we look after. Each has a defined scope of monitoring, maintenance and response.
- Windows Server and Linux servers
- Virtualisation: Hyper-V, VMware and Azure Local
- Storage and backup platforms
- Firewalls from Fortinet, Palo Alto and similar vendors
- Switches, wireless and other network devices
- Azure infrastructure, and AWS where it is part of your estate
- Certificates, DNS and other shared services

What is included for each component
- Monitoring and alerting, with alerts linked to runbooks
- Patching and firmware updates on an agreed schedule, with change records
- Backup job checks and scheduled restore tests
- Capacity, lifecycle and end-of-support tracking
- Fault response to the severity model in your agreement, ending in a root cause
- Configuration kept as code or documented in your repository
- A monthly report and review
How it runs
- Onboarding: discovery of each component, access set up to least privilege, monitoring connected and runbooks written.
- Stabilise: overdue patches, failing backups and expiring certificates dealt with first.
- Operate: monitoring, maintenance and response, with changes through your change process.
- Improve: repeat faults engineered out, and lifecycle risks raised before they become incidents.
Where it sits on the ladder
Managed infrastructure covers the platform. Managed Microsoft 365 and security covers the tenant and security tools. Together, or when you add cloud governance, cost and automation, they become full Managed Engineering.
Questions buyers ask
Can we choose only some components?
Yes. Scope is set component by component, so you can start with the areas your team finds hardest to cover.
Do you support VMware as well as Azure Local?
Yes. We run VMware estates, and help you plan the move off VMware when the time comes.
What about after-hours faults?
After-hours cover for critical faults is agreed in writing, with response targets set in your agreement.
Do you replace our hardware?
We track lifecycle and specify replacements. You buy hardware from your preferred supplier, and we install and migrate.
How is it priced?
A fixed monthly fee based on the components in scope, agreed for a 12-month term.
Can you take over from our current provider?
Yes. A provider transition assessment covers access handover, documentation gaps and a stabilisation plan before we take responsibility.
